CORE Preparation Course
This course is designed to provide hands-on firearm handling experience with all five firearm action types. Participants will practice the ACTS and PROVE procedures, as well as gain a clear understanding of ammunition components—key elements required for success on the practical exam.
In addition, the course covers how to effectively use the BC Hunting & Trapping Regulations Synopsis, helping you understand and confidently follow current laws and regulations.
Following the course, you will have the option to write your exam the same day, or if you prefer more study time, you can book another date.
Once completed, we will submit your information to the BCWF. They will send you your Fish and Wildlife number, which you will then use to purchase a hunting licence.

Time: 9:00 AM – 11:30 PM
Location: Hardcore Archery and Hunting Shop
Cost: $120 (which includes the cost of the written exam, practical exam, and the BCWF fee)
Important: This is NOT the full CORE course. This course is intended for those who have already studied the CORE material and are looking for extra support- especially in firearm handling -before writing the exam.
